A red ribbon path will allow people to move through the dunes and experience their natural transformation over time. Understanding forces of nature, wind, water, sun, ecology, etc., and their effects on the sand dunes are integral to their preservation. By recording and observing these shifts we not only get a deeper knowledge of the sand dune ecology but are also better prepared to protect them.

At the planning level, during the last several years Holon Municipality has promoted the planning of the city’s last land resources. The area, which comprises approximately one fifth of the city’s total area, is planned to contain housing, occupational district and a park of over 100 hectares. Throughout the planning process, the principles for the park development were agreed upon and a comprehensive ecological survey was made. The park will comprise a core of an unspoiled dune area, surrounded by a park consisting of a leisure and entertainment areas.
